Fire Department - Black River

Our Fire Department is made up of 60 Volunteer Fire Fighters, 1 Deputy Chief and 3 District Chiefs. All of these individuals are responsible for providing fire services to the residents in the Township.

There are four Fire Stations in the Township of Black River - Matheson. The Fire Stations are located in Val Gagne, Ramore, Holtyre and Matheson.

The Fire Chief is responsible for the administration of the four Fire Stations, issuance of burn permits, fire safety inspections and fire prevention.
